Role: Electrical Engineer
Location: Birmingham

Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Birmingham site during a period of significant growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to all safety regulations at all times.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance checks daily.
- Collaborating with Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians, and Operators, and reporting findings to your Departmental Team Leader.
- Taking responsibility for specific areas to understand their operation, maintenance needs, and safety procedures.
- Ensuring all tasks are documented with work orders, risk assessments, etc.
- Completing planned and unplanned maintenance promptly.
- Acting as a communication point during maintenance activities.
- Participating in projects to improve, extend, or modify equipment for better efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Qualifications and skills required:
- HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering (Essential)
- Experience in heavy industry and understanding of 3-phase control systems
- PLC fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of isolation procedures
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques
- Attention to detail with problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
