Field Services Engineer - Automatic Doors

Reading and surrounding territory - Up to 2 hours travel time, door to door pay

£40,000–£45,000 basic + Overtime + Door to Door = OTE £80,000+

Hours:

Full-time, 45 hour basic week, field-based with overtime & call-out rota

Bolt Technical are hiring exclusively for a well-established and growing automatic door specialist, supporting national clients across retail, commercial, and public-sector sites. This is a long-term opportunity offering autonomy, strong earning potential, and genuine career stability within a close-knit engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, maintain, and repair automatic and industrial door systems
• Fault-find across electrical and mechanical door equipment
• Cover a defined regional patch with door-to-door pay
• Complete digital job reports via tablet/iPad
• Participate in overtime and on-call rota as required (area-based)

What They’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as an automatic door engineer
• EN16005 or BS7036 qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Professional, customer-focused attitude
• Comfortable working independently in the field
