Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance on conveyors, washers, mixers, and packaging equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults (motors, sensors, controls)
- Interpret electrical diagrams and carry out fault-finding tests
- Ensure all work meets food safety, H&S, and GMP standards
- Support continuous improvement and equipment upgrades
- Act as key contact for operations and engineering leadership on shift
- Maintain records, complete shift metrics, and elevate issues
- Manage stock usage, shift paperwork, and safe working practices
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Recognised electrical qualification (excluding 17th Edition)
- Strong electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to read and fault-find electrical schematics
- Experience in maintaining automated food/manufacturing equipment
- Proactive, adaptable, with strong communication skills
- 3+ years in an engineering or FMCG role (preferred)
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship or formal multi-skilled qualification
- Experience with food processing environments or wet/cold conditions
- Confident using CMMS and basic IT systems
