Overview
We are recruiting an experienced International Field Service Engineer capable of fault finding and modifying Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs on packaging and filling machinery used in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical markets. This is a global role involving up to 60% travel, usually one-week trips in Europe and worldwide, with home-based arrangements.

Job details
- BASIC SALARY: up to £55,000
- BENEFITS: Overtime to earn circa £10,000
- All travel expenses covered when abroad or in the UK
Responsibilities
- Repair, refurbishment, upgrades & modification of installed machinery; installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Working on standard and bespoke packaging and filling machinery used in the food and pharmaceutical markets.
- Travel up to 60% of the time, usually one-week trips in Europe and worldwide; UK-based time when not travelling.
- Home based; in the office once per week when not working abroad.
- Overtime paid door to door over 39 hours per week; very occasional weekend work.
Person specification
- Proven track record as an international Field Service Engineer, ideally with hands-on experience of process or packaging machinery in the food, chemicals or pharmaceutical markets.
- UK Service Engineer with interest in moving into an international role, or an experienced food or pharmaceutical factory Maintenance Engineer seeking a field service role with international travel.
- Capable of fault finding and modifying Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Qualified Electrical / Electronic Engineer.
- Willing to spend up to 60% of time working abroad.
