Role- Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Type- Permanent
Location- Stoke-on-Trent
My client works within the engineering sector and they are looking to take on an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC/ NVQ/ C&G qualified or similar in Electrical Engineering
- Excellent hands-on servicing or maintenance experience in a similar role
- Be confident in responding to faults
- Be able to read engineering drawings
- Have a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have good communication skills
- Working at height training would be desirable
- Any HV experience would also be advantageous but not essential as training can be given
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role will involve:
- Ensuring that all electrical equipment is running safely and efficiently
- Working with both reactive and proactive maintenance methods
- Being involved in preventative maintenance tasks on all plant equipment
- Fault finding, test work and modifications to processes when required
- Fault find on control panels and wiring of motors
- Installing and replacing cabling as required
- Working on any breakdowns in an efficient and timely manner
- Work alongside other colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team
- Liaising with Contractors when required too
- Working from electrical drawings
- Working in confined spaces and also at height
- Always having Continuous Improvement and Health & Safety in mind
