Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Coventry
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Review and prepare drawing documentation.
- Develop technical documentation in line with departmental procedures.
- Provide technical support internally and externally.
- Maintain internal record systems and drawing logs.
- Conduct site visits and surveys for new projects.
Candidate Profile & Benefits
- Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HNC, A-Level, or equivalent).
- Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and drawing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to commute (Full UK driving licence preferred).
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Draftsight.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, steel fabrication).
- Experience with industrial pipework (flanges, fittings).
- Ability to survey and measure accurately.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:30pm Fridays).
- 21 days holiday + statutory bank holidays (additional days with service).
- Company pension scheme.
- On-site parking.
