Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Coventry

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Review and prepare drawing documentation.
  • Develop technical documentation in line with departmental procedures.
  • Provide technical support internally and externally.
  • Maintain internal record systems and drawing logs.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys for new projects.

Candidate Profile & Benefits

  • Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HNC, A-Level, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and drawing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to commute (Full UK driving licence preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Draftsight.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, steel fabrication).
  • Experience with industrial pipework (flanges, fittings).
  • Ability to survey and measure accurately.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:30pm Fridays).
  • 21 days holiday + statutory bank holidays (additional days with service).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • On-site parking.
