We are currently partnering with a Housing Association in North West London and they are recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, with a rate of £34 per hour. The start date is subject to notice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the maintenance service including repairs, voids, planned and cyclical works
  • Support the achievement of key performance targets in the region
  • Maintain the quality and effectiveness of services to the association's tenants
  • Deliver a local minor adaptations service, within agreed budgets
  • Ensure outstanding work orders are managed as per the Operating Procedures
  • Undertake a representative sample of repairs inspections after completion on all repairs and voids as directed
  • Update Housing Management Asset System immediately following planned works installations; databases are promptly updated following programmes of work
  • Undertake void inspection and specification in line with the Operating Procedures

Experience required

  • At least 5 years' experience of property maintenance work, preferably within housing, including undertakings such as property inspection and diagnosing common property defects

Skills, knowledge and expertise

  • A sound knowledge and understanding of building and health and safety at work legislation

Rewards and Benefits

  • Able to work flexible hours, including evening meetings and occasional overnight stays away from home

Working hours

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm
