DevSecOps Engineer (contract)

The Role

• Work within a highly autonomous engineering team, securing cloud infrastructure, networks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Focus on security automation, integrating best practices into DevOps workflows.
• Harden cloud environments, VMs, containers, and IAM systems to improve security posture.
• Conduct penetration testing and collaborate with external security auditors.
• Monitor and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations.
• Define and implement company-wide security guidelines, with a preference for open-source tooling.

Key Skills & Experience

• Cloud Security: Strong expertise in GCP (or multi-cloud environments).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• CI/CD Security: Ability to integrate security controls into DevOps pipelines.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficient in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Rust.
• Container Security: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and EKS.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Familiarity with SIEM tools and threat intelligence.
• Penetration Testing: Hands-on experience is a strong plus.
