Job Title: Submarine Safety Engineering Consultant

Contract Type: Permanent

Flexibility: This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Location: UK - London. We have offices in Bath, Bristol, Fareham, Glasgow, Plymouth, Weymouth, London & Teddington and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required.

Role Responsibilities

As a Submarine Safety Engineering Consultant, you will provide technical safety support and subject matter advice to a wide range of submarine and underwater system projects, directly supporting the UK submarine community. Your knowledge and experience of submarine operations and equipment (including maintenance and repair processes) will enable you to support the delivery of safety projects to schedule, quality and budget, in line with client requirements, UK legislation, and associated regulations, standards, and policies.

You will be supported to develop and demonstrate your knowledge and skills, with learning and development opportunities to undertake the technical aspects of the role.

About You

This role would suit an ex-Submariner looking to progress into a career in safety engineering. Ideally you will have experience of the operation and/or maintenance of Royal Navy submarines and equipment, and, while not essential, knowledge of appropriate technical documentation and safety requirements.
