Connecting Lawyers With Private Practice Law Firms
We are representing a reputable Internation UK based law firm with a strong employment & pensions practice, currently experiencing a period of notable growth. They are seeking an ambitious Associate to join their team and play a key role in advancing the business across both commercial and public sector clients.
The Role
- Provide strategic employment law advice to a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Draft employment contracts, policies and procedures (including disciplinary & grievance processes) for varied stakeholders.
- Handle Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to resolution.
- Support transactional employment matters (e.g., restructuring, acquisitions).
- Advise on data protection matters such as subject access requests.
- Contribute to business development: producing thought leadership, presenting at events, and developing new client relationships.
- Maintain sector‑leading awareness of employment law developments and enhance the practice’s reputation.
- Uphold high standards of case file management and contribute to internal training programmes.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor status with around 3 years PQE in employment law, ideally with experience in respondent work.
- A strong academic background and demonstrable intellectual experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present with confidence.
- Genuine interest in employment law, its evolving regulatory landscape and the broader commercial context.
- Commercial acumen and a client‑first mindset.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- High technical legal skill with attention to detail; strong drafting capability is highly desirable.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with problem‑solving flair.
- A collaborative and positive team player, comfortable working in a supportive but high‑performing environment.
