Payroll Officer

Eden Scott’s Accountancy & Finance Division is delighted to be supporting a well-regarded Accountancy Practice in Kirkcaldy in their search for a Payroll Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive and reputable firm offering ongoing training and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing across a varied client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls from start to finish
• Maintain accurate employee records including hours, deductions, and benefits
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements
• Handle payroll queries and liaise with clients professionally
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external use
• Support audits and contribute to continuous process improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• A proactive and professional approach to client service
