We’re looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join a consultancy firm with a different way of working. Here, you’ll have the freedom to take charge of your own practice while benefiting from the support of a like-minded community of senior lawyers. This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re looking to escape rigid billing targets, politics, or unnecessary processes, and instead build a rewarding practice on your own terms.
Who we’re looking for
- Solicitor or Legal Executive with solid experience in wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration
- Able to run matters fully autonomously
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to win work or grow a client following
- Collaborative approach — willing to share ideas and refer/receive work
- STEP qualified or working towards
What you’ll be doing
- Running your own caseload of private client work — from simple wills and LPAs to complex estate planning
- Setting your own fees and charging structure
- Building and developing your client base with full freedom to market yourself
- Collaborating with fellow consultants where cases require additional expertise
- Making use of support services (compliance, AML, file opening, onboarding) as and when you need them
Salary & Benefits
- Fee share: Keep 75% of what you bill (rising up to 90% at higher billing levels)
- Referrals: Earn 15% for work referred on to other departments
- Hours: Complete autonomy — no targets, bill as much or as little as you want
- Flexibility: Work fully remotely, or use the Leeds office hub with free parking and client meeting space
- Holiday: Set your own schedule — you decide when and how much time to take off
- Progression: Build your own mini-practice within the wider firm if you wish
- Equity options: Growth shares and preference shares available, giving you the chance to have a real stake in the firm
