Overview
Our client is seeking a Fundraising & Innovation Lead to build and lead a newly created fundraising innovation function. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced innovator who thrives on challenging the status quo, developing new products and creating sustainable income streams through bold, evidence-led experimentation.
The role will play a pivotal part in shaping how supporters are engaged in new and meaningful ways, combining strategic thinking, creative problem-solving and product-led innovation to drive long-term revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a fundraising innovation function, capability and culture
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging opportunities, trends and unmet supporter needs
- Own innovation pipeline management, from idea generation to launch
- Design and deliver structured innovation cycles, including briefing, prototyping, testing and scaling
- Commission and interpret supporter and audience research to inform product development
- Translate insights from multiple data sources into clear, actionable initiatives
- Develop and launch new mass-market fundraising products that generate sustainable income
- Lead and influence multi-disciplinary teams using a matrix management approach
- Facilitate collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners across the innovation lifecycle
- Champion innovation methodologies and product design principles across the organisation
Requirements
Experience
- Strong track record of developing new mass-market products in fundraising or revenue generation
- Significant experience applying innovation frameworks to new product development
- Proven experience commissioning and using audience research and data insight
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coaching others through change and innovation
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent knowledge of product design principles and innovation methodologies
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Confident communicator able to influence at senior levels
- Creative, strategic and solutions-focused mindset
