We are working alongside one of Europe’s largest MEP contractors, focused on delivering complex engineering projects, to recruit a Logistics Manager who is proactive and eager to progress on a large-scale data centre project.
Candidate Profile
Ideally, candidates will have experience with high-profile projects valued over £100m+. The project is complex, with logistical challenges, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Company & Role Overview
You will work for a market-leading contractor with a diverse business model that emphasizes modern health and safety and employee engagement practices. With a full order book for several years, there is excellent scope for a credible Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of this Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee direct and subcontract labour, resources, and materials.
- Ensure a proactive approach to Health & Safety, following company procedures and legal legislation.
- Utilize Data scope management systems effectively.
- Be comfortable with sustainability initiatives.
- Manage collections and deliveries to site.
- Lead the logistics team, including on-site drivers and delivery personnel.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure professional service for smooth project execution.
- Manage access and egress records via biometric turnstile systems, monitor site labour levels, material deliveries, and site tidiness, ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
- Previous experience managing significant logistics packages is essential.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Possess good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Be flexible to travel as required.
