Liberty Woodland School – Where Nature Meets Innovation
Type: Part-time or full-time (flexible for the right candidate)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
At Liberty Woodland School, we believe that education should be alive. Rooted in the outdoors and driven by inquiry, we nurture courageous, creative and connected learners who are ready for the real world—not just to take part in it, but to change it. We’re looking for someone bold, imaginative and values‑driven to join our team and help shape the future of digital learning for our students.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Innovation and Digital Design Lead to embed ethical, creative, and purpose‑driven digital learning across our school. This is not about screens for the sake of screens—it’s about weaving digital thinking into real‑world problem‑solving, storytelling, and joyful exploration.
You’ll help us ensure that the digital world our children step into is one they feel equipped to navigate and inspired to influence. You’ll guide our staff, support our families, and work alongside children to co‑create an approach to technology that is thoughtful, vibrant and entirely Liberty Woodland School.
Do you believe that digital education can be radically better—and more human? That children deserve to create, code, design and question the digital world they’re stepping into? At Liberty Woodland School, we’re creating a new kind of education—one that blends the power of the outdoors with the creativity of the digital. And we’re looking for someone to lead the charge. We want a changemaker. A digital dreamer with dirt under their fingernails. Someone who gets excited about children designing video games one day and debating digital ethics the next. Someone who doesn’t just follow trends—they create new paths. This is your chance to help build something bold. If you’re ready to co‑create a future‑facing digital curriculum, design a tech playground that doesn’t look like a screen farm, and reimagine how we teach innovation to children—you’ve just found your home.

The creative challenge: We want you to outline a digital project you would introduce to children aged 9–13 that encourages them to explore and advocate for a local environmental issue (e.g., biodiversity, rewilding, waste reduction, or tree preservation). Describe the project, the tools or platforms you would use, and how you would ensure it empowers the students to take meaningful action and share their work with others.
