I have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join a major building contractor based in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis, working on a range of projects across multiple sectors.

The company have been operating for approximately 15 years’ and have continuously grown from strength to strength. They work on a range of projects including new build, refurbishments, fit-outs and maintenance across multiple sectors including commercial offices, warehouses, industrial buildings, residential / high end residential, leisure buildings and more.

The company are continuing to grow and are winning more and more work as a result of their success and respected reputation. As a result they are looking to bring in an Assistant Estimator to assist the commercial team. Ideally the Assistant Estimator will be Degree qualified or nearing the end of their Degree, and have at least a years’ experience working for a Main Contractor. They are looking for somebody that is career focused, driven to succeed and looking take their career to the next level.

Experience:

• Ideally Degree Qualified or nearing the end of a Degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience working in the construction industry for a reputable Main Contractor
• Have reasonable knowledge of all elements of construction
• Good commercial awareness
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency using office IT applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent software
• Be punctual and have good timekeeping
• Can take instruction and effectively carry out tasks
• Ability to multitask and when necessary work on various projects
• Strong attention to detail
