Indirect Buyer

We are seeking a Buyer to join a professional services team within the procurement and supply chain department in Birmingham. The role involves managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and optimising supply chain operations.

Description

• Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost‑effective purchasing of goods and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain service quality.
• Analyse procurement data to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
• Prepare reports and updates for management on procurement activities.

Qualifications

A successful Buyer should have:

• Experience in procurement and supply chain within professional services or a similar industry.
• Experience in soft FM and marketing categories is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and stakeholders.
