Logistics Specialist

Duration: 12 months (PAYE-Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Assist development of EPC Project Logistics Plan (Shipment lookahead, risks, strategy).
  • Coordinate and lead regular shipment rhythms on progress.
  • Optimise planning to reduce shipment volume, increase consolidation and reduce freight spend (MOT shift, contract vs spot).
  • Strong coordination with interfacing roles in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Projects & Materials.
  • Support monthly cost feedback on Logistics spend (Inbound & Outbound).
  • Customer point of contact on all EPC Project Logistics related matters.
  • Verify / Complete import & export documentation, records & registers in accordance with local customs compliance requirements.
  • Compliantly moving goods, whilst adhering to all policies, International Trade compliance, HMRC and Customs regulations always.
  • Supporting the Logistics lead in Loadouts, arranging Kick‑off meetings, aligning all parties, controlling the flow of information and enabling collaboration throughout the process to successfully load out projects on time.
  • Join and participate in all Logistic meetings.
  • Loading transport requests into our freight system.
  • Escalation point for NOR requests arranged via Requestor, Supplier and Logistics 4PL.
  • Sourcing the most cost effective and efficient logistic solution to the transportation request.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Must have a good understanding of Incoterms and strong knowledge of international logistics.
  • Preferred understanding Duties and Tariffs.
  • Good problem‑solving skills, sound judgment, initiative and creativity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and organizational skills.
  • Individual must be a self‑starter, creative and clear thinker.
  • Training will be given with Logistic systems.
