Responsibilities
- Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training and developing staff. Build a motivated, high-performing team to support store success.
- Analyse sales data and financial reports to inform quick, well-grounded decisions with the Store Manager, identifying opportunities operationally and commercially.
- Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
- Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Support day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage cash tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding and training new employees.
- Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
- Support management in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
Role Objectives And KPIs
- Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
- Drive KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
- Achieve upselling or cross-selling targets.
- Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
- Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
- Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
- Ensure employee engagement scores meet or exceed company benchmarks.
- Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.
Skills And Experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail/customer-facing environment.
- Passionate about retail with a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
- Experience coaching and developing individuals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience analysing KPI data to inform commercial decisions.
- Keen eye for detail and commerciality; experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
- Promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
