Business Development Manager - Fire & Security
At Clymac, you will take ownership of identifying, shaping, and securing new business opportunities while maximising value from our existing client base. You will work closely with internal teams and prospective customers to promote our maintenance offering and position us as the supplier of choice within the Fire & Security sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong pipeline of maintenance opportunities by identifying potential clients and building relationships with decision‑makers to position the business as the preferred provider for fire and security maintenance services.
- Engage with current clients to understand their systems, compliance obligations, and wider safety needs, recommending relevant upgrades, additional service lines, or enhanced maintenance packages that improve system reliability while increasing contract profitability and customer value.
- Work closely with the Installation and Projects teams to ensure newly completed system installations transition smoothly into maintenance agreements, presenting the benefits of ongoing preventative servicing, ensuring customers understand compliance requirements, and securing long‑term recurring revenue.
- Take ownership of the end‑to‑end bid process for large PPM tenders, presenting commercial value propositions and managing deadlines. Ensure submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high‑value accounts, delivering exceptional customer service, building trusted long‑term relationships, conducting regular reviews, resolving issues promptly, analysing contract performance, and identifying opportunities for service expansion or contract renewal.
Who We're Looking For
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, presenting information clearly, influencing outcomes, and building trust with senior leaders, technical teams, and customers alike.
- Demonstrates an energetic and solution‑focused mindset, professionally representing the organisation and maintaining strong customer relationships through exemplary communication skills.
- Works independently with a strong sense of ownership, thrives in a target‑driven environment, and actively supports colleagues to achieve shared goals, remaining composed and productive when faced with challenges or changing priorities.
- Brings relevant industry knowledge and understanding of planned maintenance, compliance, and safety‑critical systems, enabling effective engagement with customers and confident promotion of the company's service offering.
