One of our clients is seeking a skilled Utility Surveyor to join their accomplished team of surveyors, engineers, and technicians. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, varied, and engaging work while conducting detailed surveys to map and record underground utilities and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive utility surveys using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and other advanced tools.
  • Accurately identify, locate, and map underground utility systems.
  • Process survey data and generate detailed reports and drawings.
  • Ensure all work meets PAS128 standards and adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to junior surveyors.
  • Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments.
  • Support multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor to PAS128 standards.
  • Level 3 qualification in Utility Mapping and Surveying or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in GPR and electromagnetic locating equipment (experience with total stations and GPS is beneficial).
  • Strong data processing and reporting experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including night shifts when required.

This role can be based out of Glasgow, Grangemouth, or Edinburgh Offices.
