Overview

Planning Managers lead and coordinate a team of engineers to develop robust tender and delivery programmes that comply with the Contract and Works Information.

They ensure programmes reflect the most efficient, effective, and buildable sequence for delivering a project or defined sections of work. The role is responsible for defining and implementing appropriate programme control and monitoring methods to track progress and productivity. Planning Managers establish and manage Earned Value Analysis (EVA) systems to support Project and Commercial Managers in assessing achieved and forecast performance against time and budget. They ensure accurate, timely reporting of programme performance to both the project team and the VCUK business.
