Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team remotely. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth running of daily courier operations, including managing Courier Exchange (CX) software, bidding on loads, assigning deliveries, and coordinating with drivers. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in driver recruitment, monitoring deliveries, and handling client bookings via phone and email.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations using Courier Exchange (CX) software.
- Bid on loads and post jobs on CX or assign them directly to drivers.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage drivers across the business.
- Oversee delivery bookings via calls and emails, ensuring accurate scheduling.
- Monitor live delivery updates and ensure on-time completion.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and drivers to resolve issues quickly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing Courier Exchange (CX) accounts and bidding on loads.
- Strong background in operations management, logistics, or courier services.
- Previous experience in hiring and managing drivers.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with logistics platforms and communication tools.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Knowledge of courier industry compliance and safety standards is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
