Senior Application Support Engineer – NEC Revenues & Benefits
We’re seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with proven NEC Revenues & Benefits experience to join a local authority in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role covering 2nd/3rd line support, front-end administration, and leading annual billing processes. Please note: NEC Revenues & Benefits experience is essential — this is a deal-breaker for the role.
What you’ll do:
- Provide expert 2nd/3rd line support for NEC Revenues & Benefits
- Lead and coordinate annual billing testing and troubleshooting
- Manage front-end administration and configuration of NEC systems
- Support upgrades, patches, and releases in collaboration with IT and vendors
- Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain documentation and contribute to the knowledge base
What we’re looking for:
- Proven NEC Revenues & Benefits application support experience (essential)
- Strong front-end administration and 3rd-party hosted system knowledge
- Experience with annual billing cycles (highly desirable)
- Previous work in local authorities or public sector environments (desirable)
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
- Eligible to pass a DBS check
