Job Overview

Community Rehabilitation Specialist Dietitian / Part Time (22, 5hrs per week). Are you passionate about improving community health through nutrition? Come and join our team as a Band 6 Community Dietitian and make a lasting impact! An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Dietitian with a passion for nutrition support in the community to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Team Lead Dietitian and alongside other team members to provide specialist dietetic expertise for adult patients in patients’ homes, clinic setting, nursing and care homes, community hospitals, virtual wards and group sessions.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Community Dietitian, you will provide expert nutritional support to individuals across the community, helping to manage chronic conditions, promote healthy eating, and improve overall wellbeing. This role offers the chance to work with diverse populations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Dietitian with HCPC registration.
  • Experience in community or clinical settings (Band 5 or above).
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for promoting public health and nutrition.
  • Must have a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period.

Starting with Us

NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend several drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement – Fringe

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,346 to a maximum of £2,270 p.a. pro rata for part time).
