Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Fund Accountant (FA) with specialist knowledge of Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs) and closed‑ended funds. The role is a key control function within the RBC BlueBay FA department.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile monthly CLO investor reporting with the administrator.
  • Review CLO waterfalls quarterly.
  • Manage the CLO issuance process with bank and administrator.
  • Prepare CLO trial balances for consolidation by the parent.
  • Ensure management and performance fees are correctly calculated and charged.
  • Review quarterly NAVs and client statements for closed‑ended GP/LP structures.
  • Oversee subsequent close equalisation adjustments for closed‑ended funds.
  • Pro‑actively monitor cash balances on CLO warehouses and closed‑ended funds.
  • Coordinate and review capital call and distribution notices for closed‑ended funds.
  • Produce monthly or quarterly NAVs by reconciling RBC BlueBay’s valuations with administrators.
  • Adhere to RBC BlueBay’s Pricing and Valuation Policy; investigate valuation issues, significant price fluctuations, cash breaks and trade capture issues and respond to ad‑hoc queries from administrators.
  • Liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting from Fund Accounting to internal and external recipients.
  • Assist with periodic reporting submissions to Fund regulators.
  • Participate in ad‑hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong, demonstrable industry experience (PQE).
  • Prior asset‑management knowledge.
  • Specialist CLO knowledge (warehouses, quarterly investor reports, collateral tests, IRR calculations, waterfalls, issuance flows of funds, refinancing).
  • Specialist closed‑ended fund knowledge (GP/LP structures, subsequent close equalisation, performance‑fee catch‑up mechanisms, capital calls/distributions, carried‑interest calculations).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
  • High performance standards and commitment to RBC BlueBay’s principles, policies and procedures.
  • Client‑centric approach with respect for internal and external investors.
