The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of Bluewater’s Virtual Finance Office. As a Client Accountant, you will own the accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of financial reporting for a portfolio of clients. You will ensure clients not only receive reliable numbers, but also understand what those numbers mean. This is a client-facing delivery ownership role.

Role Purposes:
To take full ownership of operational finance delivery for assigned clients, ensuring clean month‑end close, high‑quality reporting, and confident explanation of results.
Financial Delivery & Control
- Own month-end close for assigned clients
- Prepare/review rec packs, ledgers, accruals, prepayments, WIP, and journals
- Maintain up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Review VAT, CIS, and payroll outputs
- Review and approve payment runs
Client Communication & Presentation
- Present management accounts to clients
- Explain variances, trends, and performance drivers clearly
- Prepare written summaries and commentary
- Respond confidently to client finance queries
Quality Oversight & Team Support
- Oversee bookkeeping quality and timelines
- Review Finance Associate and Assistant output
- Resolve issues early and constructively
- Escalate judgement matters appropriately
- Identify risks, issues, and anomalies proactively
- Highlight patterns and drivers to Finance Partners
- Support Finance Partners by preparing clear insights
About You
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist
- At least 5 years’ experience in practice or industry
- Confident reviewing others’ work
