What You’ll Be Doing

Your main focus will be to influence the design of HVAC and refrigeration solutions from the outset, working closely with teams to set innovative standards for M&S building services.

  • Influence design reviews and technical signoff, challenging lifecycle cost, maintainability, access, and projected energy performance.
  • Ensure flawless project handover through high‑quality commissioning, accurate asset tagging, and robust O&M documentation aligned with FM requirements.
  • Build and manage a rolling remediation plan addressing defects, obsolescence, safety risks, and system criticality, embedding permanent fixes through root‑cause investigations.
  • Set technical standards and operational procedures for FM partners (including City FM), verifying delivery through audits, data insights, and governance of major repairs, changeovers, spares, and warranty recovery.
  • Drive energy and performance optimisation by partnering with the Energy Efficiency Manager to identify high‑ interventions and analysing system performance (kWh/m², load profiles, runtimes) to deliver targeted improvements.

Who You Are

A technically strong engineer with experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.

  • Skilled in design standards, commissioning processes, and system optimisation.
  • Confident influencing stakeholders, challenging suppliers, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Data driven with a passion for energy efficiency, performance optimisation, and sustainable operation.
