  • Assessment Design: Competence in designing and grading rigorous examinations, coursework, and practical programming assessments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver highly effective A Level Computer Science lessons across all components of the course.
  • Accurately assess, monitor, record, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development and resourcing of the departmental curriculum.
  • Enforce and maintain high expectations for student conduct and academic performance in line with school policy.
  • Participate fully in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole‑school Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Implement targeted intervention strategies to ensure all students achieve their maximum potential.
  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and positive learning atmosphere in the classroom and IT labs.
  • Act as a tutor, offering pastoral support and guidance to a designated group of students.
  • Proactively engage with parents/carers regarding student progress and well‑being.
  • Uphold the school’s values and actively contribute to the wider life of the school community through enrichment activities.
