Build Recruitment are working with an NHS Trust in the Midlands to source a Clerk of Works on a 12 month contract. (£22.78 per hour or up to £39k)
Day to Day
Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Clerk of Works will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing the Trust’s approach to undertaking the inspections of works in progress by in-house staff and external contractors, as well as ensuring that they are meeting quality, cost and health & safety commitments as specified for projects across a multi-site NHS property portfolio.
In this newly created role, the Clerk of Works will provide technical expertise on all aspects of the Estates Maintenance Function, promote communication at all levels and bring innovation, monitoring and measurement to ensure a value for money service.
Key to the success of this role will be the management of the project supply chain (contractors and client’s consultants) as well as maintaining Quality Assurance and Compliance.
Due to the dispersed nature of the property portfolio, my client is looking for a well organised and thorough Clerk of Works who possesses excellent communication skills, reporting and demonstrates a collaborative style of working.
This position will require candidates to have a full UK driver’s license and will be subject to an enhanced DBS.
