Process Engineer

Blackfield Associates are recruiting for a Process Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical company at their Wrexham site. This is a full-time permanent role working on an exciting new facility. As such, a flexible and adaptable attitude and an enthusiasm for overseeing innovative projects is paramount.

Core Responsibilities

1. Conduct technical appraisals and lead design reviews
2. Adhere to current GMP requirements.
3. Manage project work packages by aligning with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
4. Collaborate with the project engineering team and engage site personnel.
5. Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
6. Manage safe equipment start up, shutdown, and job control practices.

Requirements

Education:

1. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Professional qualification / association with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.

Experience:

1. Capital projects experience equating to a competent understanding of each stage – an understanding of engineering design processes is fundamental.
2. An understanding of engineering best practices within a GMP (or otherwise regulated) environment.
3. A pharmaceutical background is most desirable.
