JOB – Graduate Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION – Dartford

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £26,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a specialist engineering company working on a range of mechanical products and bespoke machinery. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Dartford.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the company

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies
• Producing 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Assisting senior engineers on live projects from concept through to production
• Liaising with production and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability
• Contributing to continuous improvement and design optimisation initiatives
• Preparing technical documentation and supporting project delivery
