Mechanical Engineer

A leading engineering contractor require a proven mechanical engineer to join their site based team delivering mechanical projects.

The Role

• Review and comment on construction P&ID’s, piping isometrics and GA’s.
• Understanding of industry standards and client specifications to ensure compliance.
• Review 3-D models of process plant/storage tanks for clash detection and constructability
• Assess and determine offsite fabrication strategy and sequence, in conjunction with fabrication team.
• Generate installation ITP & QA documentation in conjunction with QA manager.
• Oversee site installation, hydrotesting and commissioning in conjunction with construction manager.
• Generate system handover sequence, ITR’s and handover documentation in conjunction with commissioning team and QA manager.
• Familiar with data management systems such as Aconex
• Compliance with contractual obligations during design and construction
• Monitoring and control of budgets as required by the project manager
• Coordination of civil/mechanical interfaces during process plant design & construction

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in Design, constructability and review
• Fabrication andinstallation,commissioning of process piping systems.
