About the Role
We are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse with GDC registration to join our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontic team at UHNM.

This role is currently not eligible for sponsorship under UKVI guidelines. If you hold a graduate visa you are welcome to apply; however the Trust will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa.
Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively as part of a highly skilled and dedicated team to ensure safe and high‑quality patient care.
- Prepare and maintain the clinic setting and provide a high standard of dental nursing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and across the multidisciplinary team.
- Record accurate and timely patient records.
- Provide reassurance, compassion and empathy.
- Monitor patients throughout their visits and respond to medical emergencies.
- Deliver pre‑ and postoperative advice verbally to patients.
- Nurse and support complex treatments in orthodontics, oral maxillofacial surgery and multidisciplinary clinics.
- Prepare all surgeries and instruments appropriately for complex procedures.
- Handle, transfer, dismantle and manage all dental equipment and instruments.
- Plan and organise clinics and joint appointments with other departments and hospitals.
- Be competent and trained in intra‑oral scanning, intra‑oral impression taking and clinical photography.
- Maintain adequate supplies of stock, ensuring efficient and effective use.
- Be competent and trained in Trust IM&T systems.
- Ensure compliance with the Trust statutory and mandatory training.
