Deputy Care Home Manager

Overview

Job Title: Deputy Manager – Dementia Care HomeLocation: PeterboroughSalary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

We are a compassionate and dedicated care home, providing exceptional support to 32 residents living with dementia. Our focus is on creating a safe, stimulating, and homely environment where every resident feels valued and respected.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in day-to-day operations of the home
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
• Supervise and motivate care staff, fostering a positive team culture
• Assist with staff training, performance management, and recruitment
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with CQC standards
• Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures

Requirements

• Experience in a care home environment, preferably with dementia care
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (Level 5 is desirable)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in care
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care
