Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker

Department: Residential

Location: Foxglove Manor – Lancaster

Compensation: £31,398 – £33,474 per year

Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to work shift patterns including sleep‑ins.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Support Worker you’ll play a key part in the daily life of our home, leading your team on shift, providing hands‑on care and supporting the young people through their everyday experiences.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and professionals
  • Support care plans and help young people achieve their goals
  • Lead by example and support junior colleagues on shift
  • Promote a safe, clean and happy home environment
  • Encourage learning, development and independence in every child
  • Keep records up to date with care and professionalism
  • Take part in sleep‑in shifts on a 2‑on, 4‑off rota (with advance notice)

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience in residential childcare
  • Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for transporting young people and attending external meetings)
  • A calm, resilient and compassionate approach to care
  • Ability to work shift patterns, including sleep‑ins
