CNC Operator – Stroud
Salary dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Operate one or more CNC machines in the Cell
- Complete a machine health check list daily
- Document and track in the Cell
- Stamp off your own work
- Report NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
- Converse with the Production Team Leader and assist with other duties when needed
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Partake in training when required
- Minimise the level of scrap components
- Mentor and support new staff or apprentices
- Establish key delivery dates/requirements with the Production Team Leader and Production Manager
- Liaise with the Production Team Leader and communicate workshop issues to the CNC Setter / Charge Hand’s
Ideal Candidate
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Engineering qualification preferably craft apprenticeship or equivalent
- Basic CNC programming and machine competence
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardised situations
Working Hours
- Double day shifts (includes Shift Allowance)
- Monday – Thursday 6am to 2pm, Friday 6am to 11.30am
- Monday – Thursday 2pm to 10pm, Friday 11am to 5pm
