Description
To undertake a variety of tasks to support the members of the non‑delegated Litigation team in achieving Client KPIs and SLAs.

Key Accountabilities
- Update case management system with file allocations, diary records, court dates, directions, applications and orders as well as general activity, ensuring accurate recording of activity to allow progress tracking.
- Draft routine court documents such as AOS, Notice of Change, Court Orders, Witness Summons and precedent‑based applications.
- Liaise with Courts, Counsel, Opponents, Experts, Witnesses, Insureds and brokers to progress the case, including requests for extensions, booking counsel etc.
- Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents and other actions to ensure responses are received within required timescales.
- Make payment requests using the appropriate payment request process for the client and chase to ensure payments are received and dispatched within required deadlines.
- Diarise and update CRU.
- Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.
- Undertake additional ad‑hoc duties to support File Handlers and the team, e.g. undertake minor investigations on liability and quantum; complete administrative duties.
Working Hours
35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of working in a legal environment is desirable.
- Good communication skills and experience of negotiating with and influencing 3rd parties to obtain information.
- Demonstrable experience of following a semi‑prescribed programme of work.
- Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers and/or the public.
- Gathering and recording information.
- Ability to work under own initiative, prioritising and organising own workload.
- IT Literate; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Experience of using a Claims/Case Management system.
- Proficient in the use of alpha‑numeric filing systems.
- GCSE grade A–C in Maths and English or equivalent.
