Job role: Student Welfare Officer

Salary: FMAT Band D Point 2, £29,492.00 p.a. (Actual pro rata salary £25,311.63 p.a. for 37 hours)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm

Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm

(1-hour unpaid lunch break each day)

Term Time only plus 2 training days

Contract Status: Permanent

Contract Start Date: May 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Welfare Officer to join the Fulston family. This is a rewarding opportunity to become a highly visible and approachable presence within our school community, supporting students in making positive choices in line with our expectations. You will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, acting as a vital link between students, pastoral staff, teachers, and families.

The successful candidate will:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Grade 5 or above
  • Experience working in a school setting or with young people aged 11–19
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ideally have experience with Google Classroom and Management Information Systems such as Arbor and ClassCharts
