Job Description:

Event Operations Manager, Lumos Experiences

CURATE GROUP

Role: Event Operations Manager, Lumos Experiences

Reports to: Lumos General Manager, UK

Location: London, hybrid (3:2)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Curate Group is a dynamic events and experiences company, creating unforgettable moments that bring people together. We specialise in unique, high-quality live events from large scale festivals, immersive concerts, cultural experiences and corporate events partnering with some of the world’s most exciting brands.

One of our core brands, Lumos Experiences, is one of the most distinctive live entertainment concepts, creating atmospheric candlelit concerts that transform unexpected spaces into something genuinely magical. We’re growing fast, running multiple shows per week across new cities and countries and we’re looking for a highly organised event operations manager to support the ongoing running of our shows.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Lumos is scaling fast and this role sits right at the heart of that growth. As we expand into new cities and run more shows than ever, we’re building a dedicated operations function and this is one of two Event Operations Manager roles designed to grow with us. You’ll each own a distinct set of responsibilities, but work as a tight unit coordinating on show days, supporting each other through peak periods and holding the same high standards across everything you do. It means you’ll have a genuine peer from day one, in a structure built for scale.

We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in their work and who spots what needs doing before being asked, solves problems with confidence and brings both energy and precision to everything they deliver. This isn’t a role for someone who waits to be directed. It’s for someone who leads, cares and makes things happen.

Day-to-day you’ll work flexibly, splitting your time between home and our offices in Chancery Lane. You’ll also get out to shows regularly because the best operations people stay close to the experience they’re delivering and there’s nothing like seeing your work come to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• End-to-End Event Operations: Own the full operational delivery of all shows, from pre-show planning and venue coordination to on-the-ground execution and post-event review, ensuring every event runs smoothly, on-brand and to a high standard.

• Venue Management: Maintain a detailed venue catalogue with layouts, access and contact information. Liaise with venues to confirm logistics and produce EMPs, risk assessments and health and safety documentation.

• Staff Recruitment, Scheduling and Training: Lead weekend team recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training for Event Managers and Assistants. Manage and maintain up-to-date training resources, playbooks and manager toolkits.

• Musician and Production Coordination: Work with the Musician Booker to ensure artists are well-briefed and performing consistently. Oversee production teams to ensure all technical and operational elements are executed seamlessly.

• Processes and Operational Standards: Develop and standardise processes across all shows to drive consistency, reduce ambiguity and improve efficiency.

• Budget and Inventory Management: Manage operational budgets with strong cost control, oversee inventory and logistics.

• Field Presence and Quality Control: Attend 2 shows per month to assess performance, deliver in-person training and identify opportunities to elevate show quality across lighting, sound, staging and guest experience.

• Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Deliver post-event reports, analyse KPIs and customer feedback and proactively propose improvements to keep Lumos ahead of industry trends.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience in event operations, production or management. Ideally within the live entertainment or hospitality sectors.

• A natural self-starter who thrives on responsibility and momentum.

• Confident in making decisions, even under pressure and always ready to find a solution.

• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.

• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Budget management experience.

• Driving license and flexibility to work some shows on weekends, travelling to various locations as needed.

• Proficiency in Google Suite, AI and team collaboration tools.

WHAT WE OFFER

• A competitive salary, depending on experience

• Access to an annual discretionary bonus

• 28 days annual leave, including bank and other public holidays

• Additional annual leave days are given around Christmas and New Year

• An extra day of annual leave gifted for each year of service (up to an additional 3 days)

• Your Birthday off (or a day of your choice that month if it falls on a weekend)

• A flexible hybrid-working policy, with beautiful offices in Chancery Lane, Central London

• Enhanced maternity leave policies

• Employee pension

• Significant opportunities for personal growth and career progression as the business scales

• A collaborative, fun and respectful team environment

• Complimentary access to our full range of events and concerts for family and friends…
