AI Trainer/Skills Coach

We are supporting a leading UK provider of apprenticeships and professional development to recruit an AI Trainer and Skills Coach.

Location: Remote with 4 visits per year to their offices in London

Contract: Full-time

Salary: £40k–£45k

The Role

You will coach and develop apprentices across AI, Data, and Software Development programmes, helping them apply technical skills, automation, and AI tools in real business contexts. You’ll work closely with employers to design development plans aligned to business objectives and support learners through every stage of their apprenticeship journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured coaching across AI, Data Analysis, and Software Development apprenticeship programmes
• Support project-based learning and real-world application
• Conduct progress reviews and ensure portfolios meet apprenticeship standards
• Develop learners’ professional behaviours, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Advise employers on AI adoption, automation, and business impact
• Maintain accurate learner records and reports

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in AI, software development, or data analysis within business or project environments
• Knowledge of programming, data analysis, automation, and AI tools
• Experience coaching, mentoring, teaching, or assessing apprentices
• Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd/QTS/Level 4/3) and Level 3 Assessor qualification
• Degree or relevant industry experience in AI, Data, Computer Science, Digital, or related field
