Global Senior Product Quality Governance Manager

The role

You will play a pivotal role in strengthening how product quality is governed across Babcock International Group. This leadership position will shape end‑to‑end product quality governance frameworks and ensure product quality risks are understood, controlled, and managed consistently across diverse sectors and international operations.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

  • Leading group‑level product quality risk assessments across sectors and delivery units
  • Defining governance controls, requirements and assurance activities that improve product quality outcomes
  • Creating and implementing product quality governance policies, processes and procedures
  • Conducting technical assurance reviews and vertical product audits across the organisation
  • Supporting and influencing engineering teams on design for manufacture, inspection and critical specifications

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role can be based at any of our main UK locations with hybrid working patterns.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in product quality, quality assurance or engineering roles, including leadership responsibility
  • Proven knowledge of quality systems, standards, product quality control and assurance
  • Experience working across complex, regulated environments such as defence, aerospace or engineering
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across global, multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Extensive practical application of quality and engineering tools and techniques

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quality, science or engineering discipline
  • Chartered membership of an applicable body (Engineering or Quality), e.g., CQI preferred
  • Lead auditor qualification in either AS9100 or ISO 9001

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
