Pinnacle Pet Group is seeking a Lead People Business Partner to join our People Team. You will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, driving alignment between business goals and people strategies across the Pinnacle Pet Group UK & Europe.

You will provide professional HR expertise and consultancy, focusing on business performance, organisational design and development, workforce planning, and complex employee relations.

As Lead People Business Partner, you will foster strong partnerships with leaders and stakeholders, ensuring the development and implementation of Business and HR initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and support change management efforts.

This role requires strong change management expertise, a deep understanding of the business, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, skilled stakeholder management and a proactive agile approach to solving complex people challenges.

Location

Hybrid – London Paddington office about 2 days per week; occasional European travel may be required.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing With Us

  • Partner with senior leaders to shape organisational design, aligning structures, roles and culture with business strategy and future growth.
  • Lead complex organisational change initiatives – restructures and TUPE – ensuring effective planning, communication, risk management and legal compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with our European colleagues to support transversal teams.
  • Monitor external HR trends and legislation, advising leaders on implications and opportunities for the organisation.
  • Use HR data and insights to identify trends, guide decision‑making, and present findings in a clear, actionable format.
  • Lead strategic HR projects from design through implementation, collaborating with SMEs across Talent, Reward, Engagement and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Ensure HR projects are well‑governed, delivered on time, compliant with regulatory requirements, and continuously improved through data‑driven evaluation.
  • Oversee complex senior‑level employee relations matters, ensuring decisions align with employment law, FCA regulations, and company policies.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation, providing tailored HR solutions and influencing leadership decisions.

Our Wish List Of Your Previous Experience

  • Proven experience as a senior or lead HR Business Partner or similar role supporting a group or enabling functions in a matrix organisation.
  • Strong track record in driving complex organisational design and development, leading change initiatives and managing senior ER issues within a multi‑entity business structure.
  • Experience in organisational design with the ability to shape structures, roles and processes to support business strategy and growth.
  • Experience operating as an HR Business Partner across multiple European countries, with a strong understanding of local employment laws and cultural practices.
  • Experience operating in Europe would be beneficial.
  • Experience working within a private equity backed organisation is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience leading strategic and tactical HR projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timely delivery, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and best practice.
  • Experience working in a similar role within financial services and knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements from an HR perspective is an advantage but not essential.
  • Professional relevant qualification desirable, e.g., a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification.
