We’re in an accelerated phase of growth, specifically focused on replacing third‑party data on the open web. Your strategic acumen in promoting the curation and activation of bespoke audiences will directly contribute to our industry‑defining mission.
We’re hiring a Solutions Engineer with a unique blend of technical AdTech / MarTech acumen paired with a drive to provide value and technical colour to all sales cycles.
This engineer will have a proven track record of successfully selling SAAS or data solutions to a variety of AdTech / MarTech partners across publishers, advertisers, broadcasters and agencies.
You will collaborate directly with Sales Directors to present innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs across all of our target customers and be able to tie these solutions to demonstrations of the platform.
This is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where managing expectations and aligning diverse stakeholders is key.
You are comfortable diving into existing documentation, API specifications, have a good understanding of the AdTech / MarTech ecosystem, a high‑level understanding of data management platforms, GitHub repositories, data warehouses and cloud infrastructure to best architect solutions in sales cycles for our customers. You’re eager to understand how systems and products work and autonomously capable of reverse engineering, using browser tools, and/or reading code comments to learn.
When building solutions for prospective customers you will need to evaluate the full scope of work required to accomplish customer use cases. This includes identifying what we can do already and what we can’t do today. Out‑of‑scope projects provide an opportunity to liaise with product and engineering teams to scope new in‑market needs tied to real revenue opportunities and align this with our internal roadmap.
As a trusted advisor you will connect technology to the needs of prospective customers. It is beneficial that you have an understanding of the advertising technology landscape and empathy for the challenges publishers and advertisers face.
This role will require travel to customer engagements. The amount of travel can fluctuate based on active opportunities.
We take a structured, objective approach to salary‑setting, based on marketing information, our compensation strategy and your experience and capability assessed through our interview process. For a typical candidate who meets our requirements, we pay a base salary between £85,000‑£95,000.
If you join Permutive as a Solutions Engineer with a base salary of £85,000 and reach 100% quota attainment in a year, your OTE for that year will be around £102,000. The true earning potential is significantly higher as your potential to earn is uncapped; 100% quota attainment is the minimum expectation for our Sales Engineers.
Permutive trusts you to manage your time and deliver results. Our hybrid model allows you to choose where you work best, whether in your own productive space or our London (Farringdon) or New York (Union Square) offices. Teams in these locations come together in person at least once a week and are encouraged to embrace in‑person interactions to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. Every Permutive employee gets together in person at the company’s Annual Kick Off for a week in February to align on our shared vision for the year ahead.
