Business Manager – CIB Coverage Executive Office

London | Full‑time

Working Pattern

What you’ll be doing:

This role sits within the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Coverage Executive Office. You will provide high‑impact business management and operational support to the Head of CIB Coverage and the wider leadership team, coordinating key priorities and driving across the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Co‑ordinating senior stakeholder engagement, budgets and investment activity.
  • Producing briefings, reports and executive materials to support decision‑making.
  • Managing a direct report (Associate Business Manager) and contributing to effective line‑management.
  • Acting as a connector between Coverage and group partners such as Finance, Risk and Business Operations, ensuring governance, risk controls and effective leadership forums.
  • Shaping internal communications, colleague engagement and cultural activities within the Coverage community.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ confirmed experience in a business management, executive office, Chief of Staff or business‑support role in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Experience producing MI, managing budgets or working with Finance / Business Operations data and reporting.
  • Excellent written communication skills – drafting polished internal updates, meeting notes and briefing materials.
  • Strong organisational skills, prioritising opposing deadlines and stakeholders while maintaining high attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and handling sensitive or critical information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).

And any experience of these would be great:

  • Familiarity with relationship/coverage business models and client‑focused environments.
  • Curiosity about AI and a drive to adopt efficient, best‑in‑class working practices.
