Key Contractor Manager – South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire (Patch covering postcodes of DN, S, LN, DE, NG, LE, PE20-PE25)

Reporting directly to the Regional Trading Director, the KCM will deliver the National Commercial strategy for Main Contractor, Housebuilder key accounts and respective associated design teams and partners. The KCM will proactively develop profitable commercial business opportunities for Marshalls by strategically focusing on defined Key Housebuilder and Contractor accounts to create demand, drive specification of Marshalls products and systems, and maximise the profitability of Marshalls Plc by achieving the most desirable blend of price, volume and product mix.

As a proactive problem‑solver with a knack for building strong relationships, you will lead engagement with the head office, pre‑construction and design teams to identify and understand main regional projects. Using your expertise with Barbour ABI, you will track project progress, ensure shared documents are up‑to‑date, and secure early access to project teams and specification managers. You will be a strategic thinker ready to drive growth and maximise profitability.

Mission‑Critical Skills

  • Commercial experience across a wide range of stakeholders within the building industry, including tier 1 housebuilders and main contractors.
  • Ability to leverage specification strategy with main contractor and housebuilder customers to gain higher margins and better product mix.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and industry products to incorporate into meetings and presentations.
  • Creative and solutions‑oriented thinking, adaptable to changing needs and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of procurement routes and ability to lead negotiations with key stakeholders using the company’s value proposition.
  • Detailed knowledge of RIBA.
