Job Title: Executive Communications Specialists – UK&I / MEA

Location: Shoreditch (Hybrid)

Role Type: Part time / 7 hours per day / 3 days per week

Duration: 12 months contract initially

Max. Budget: £69.9k per annum + paid holidays + pension or £365 per day Inside IR35

The Opportunity:

  • The Executive Communications Specialist is a critical enabler of culture and a key driver of corporate reputation.
  • With over 1,000 employees in Client’s UK, Ireland, Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa (UK&I/MEA) region, across 5 offices, we’re seeking a strategic, innovative employee communications professional to drive engaging communication programs and support the VP of the UK&I/MEA.
  • This highly visible role requires working directly with the VP on creating an employee communications strategy to convey their overall leadership principles, ongoing employee communications and support for internal meetings and presentations.
  • This role will also help elevate and amplify client’s enterprise narrative and the VPs public profile by working with the corporate communications team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Build the VP’s executive voice and brand across the region
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor by demonstrating executive presence and a deep understanding of the organization, technology, company, industry, and competition
  • Drive and oversee production of content and deliverables (e.g. weekly newsletter, organisational announcements, quarterly all hands, etc.) to ensure consistency, creativity and quality consistent with Client’s brand and messaging.
  • Develop a robust employee communications plan, building on UKI business and engagement priorities. Work with leadership team to ensure plan delivers the desired outcome, meets business goals for company and brings our community together.
  • Engage with the wider EMEA comms team (including employee comms and corporate comms), providing counsel on regional best practice and audience insights and advocating for UK&I/MEA priorities.
  • Partner with Enterprise and Corporate Comms/PR on key messages and preparation for executive external opportunities

What you need to succeed:

  • Passion for creative storytelling to capture hearts and minds by translating our culture, values and business strategies into simple yet compelling narratives.
  • Proven experience providing executive communications support to senior leaders, combined with strong executive presence
  • 5-7 years of executive communications, employee communications and/or corporate communications experience
  • Superior written, verbal, digital visual and video communication skills.
  • Possesses a keen understanding of innovative communication channels and a curiosity for discovering new ways to engage with audiences.
  • Resourcefulness and self-motivation to independently prioritize shifting workloads in a global high-growth, constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partner with executives and produce effective communications deliverables that meet or exceed goals within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • BA/BS in communications, public relations, communications, journalism or equivalent experience; some corporate, high-tech, online publisher, media company or digital agency experience ideal.
