About the Company

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in Middlesbrough? We are looking for a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in a small, nurturing home for children who cannot currently live with their families.

About the Role

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care that meets the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of children with complex emotional and behavioural challenges, mental health disorders, and additional needs. You’ll be part of a team committed to therapeutic approaches and restorative practices, helping children thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to children.
  • Meet the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of children.
  • Support children with complex emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Implement therapeutic approaches and restorative practices.

Qualifications

  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to undertake).

Required Skills

  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Understanding of child development and challenging behaviour.
  • Positive attitude and ability to build relationships.
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours including weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
  • Driver with access to own vehicle

Pay range and compensation package

Salary: £27,254–£30,024 pro rata

Sleep-in rate: £87.54

Hours: 37 hours per week, Permanent
