Workshop Engineer (Mechanical)

About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys practical engineering and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You might already have experience in vehicle or plant engineering, or be looking to transfer your skills into a more specialised field.
You’ll likely bring experience or interest in:
- Working with mechanical assemblies or vehicle builds (HGV, plant, or similar backgrounds are highly valued)
- Using a wide range of hand and power tools confidently
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings or schematics
- Carrying out basic fabrication tasks
- Understanding and working within health & safety guidelines
It would be great (but not essential) if you’ve had exposure to:
- Pneumatic or hydraulic systems
- Welding techniques such as MIG or TIG
- Supervisory or mentoring responsibilities
You’ll also be open to learning new skills, including specialist training required for certain engineering environments.
