Software Engineer (AI & Automation) – Fintech Startup Firm

A fintech start-up firm is seeking to retain a highly capable Software Engineer with deep AI expertise to help build the next generation of automation and intelligent systems within the investment industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership to design, deploy, and eventually manage AI agents that streamline operations, enhance decision‑making, and transform how the firm scales.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate internal workflows across the firm using modern AI frameworks
• Develop, train, and maintain AI agents tailored to private equity use cases
• Integrate data sources, financial models, and operational tools into cohesive automated systems
• Work closely with investment and operations teams to identify automation opportunities
• Lead the technical roadmap for AI‑driven infrastructure and agent orchestration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Strong programming skills (Python preferred; others welcome)
• Demonstrated experience with AI/ML, LLMs, agent frameworks, or automation tooling
• Solid understanding of finance, investment workflows, or private equity environments
• Ability to work autonomously, architect solutions, and iterate quickly
• A builder’s mindset: curious, resourceful, and comfortable owning end‑to‑end systems
• Experience in integrating and building agents and have strong financial know-how
